“Healthcare system”?

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” (The Princess Bride)

System: an assemblage or combination of things or parts forming a complex or unitary whole. (dictionary.com

We don’t have an American Healthcare System, at least, not in the USA.  We have a highway system, an air traffic system, a tax system, and a postal system; unitary wholes managed to the benefit of the people of this nation.

Industry: the ownership and management of companies, factories, etc. (dictionary.com)

We have a health care industry, a collection of businesses all competing to get the most money from their customers. Just like the tobacco industry, the fossil-fuel industry, the automotive industry, and the banking industry.

“For an exact study, an exact language is needed.” (G. I. Gurdjieff)
